Yoga Practice #11: A Grounding Practice, for Autumn
This full-length intermediate yoga practice is for for the autumn, the season of the air element (vāyu). It's a time of movement, dryness and coolness—so this practice teaches choices for a more grounded experience. (There’s also a gentle version of this class!)

Q&A: Why is the class so long?
I think it’s a shame that online classes (largely) do not deliver a complete “in-studio experience.” I want practitioners to experience a fully balanced practice at the proper pace, with proper breathing technique, time for reflection and time for relaxation. These things are essential (in my view) to an effective practice.
A chair practice is great for almost anyone! If you have limitations in your strength or mobility, these poses will show you how to do a full range of physical activity without getting up and down, or standing unaided. (Also great for anyone needing a midday break!)
